Alys Davies is a freelance contemporary dance artist, originally from South Wales. She trained at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, specialising in classical ballet, and at Art Factory International in Bologna, Italy. As a professional dancer Alys has worked across the UK and Italy, with companies such as Compagnia Zappalà Danza, National Dance Company Wales and Jones the Dance/Y Ddawns, alongside working with independent choreographers on stage shows, dance films and music videos. Outside of performing, Alys teaches ballet at University of the Arts London, and works closely with Counselling for Dancers, an organisation committed to providing specialised mental health support for performers.
