PRACTICE

FAQs Who is Artist Lab open to? Artist Lab is open to dancers, choreographers, movement practitioners, theatre-makers, performance artists and interdisciplinary creatives looking for affordable rehearsal space and studio memberships in Hackney, East London. Which studios can I use during my residency? Artist Lab members can book any of FieldWorks Dance's four studio spaces, including our professional dance studios, rehearsal spaces and creative studios, subject to availability. How far in advance can I book my studio time? Artist Lab members can book studio space up to one week in advance. This helps ensure fair access to rehearsal space for all members of the programme. Can I share my residency time with fellow artists? Yes. Artist Lab memberships are designed to support collaboration and creative development. You are welcome to work with fellow artists, collaborators and performers, provided the named Artist Lab member is present throughout the booking. How do I apply? Simply select your preferred Artist Lab membership and complete the online application form. Applications are reviewed by the FieldWorks Dance team and successful applicants will be contacted with next steps. How long does the application process take? We aim to respond to all Artist Lab applications within 14 working days. What is Artist Lab?
