Crystal Costa

Crystal has been dancing professionally for the past 18 years, first as a Principal Dancer with the Hong Kong Ballet from 2001-2007 and then moving on to become First Soloist with the English National Ballet for the past 12 years. She has toured the world performing on stages such as the Palais Garnier in Paris, the Bolshoi Theatre in Russia and the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in Japan. She has danced principal roles in almost all the classical ballets including The Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Giselle, Swan Lake, Coppelia, Cinderella, and Theme and Variations. Other highlighted roles include Tchaikovsky Pas de deux, The Chosen One in Pina Bausch’s Rite of Spring, Giselle in Akram Khan’s Giselle, Mistress in Manon and Andrea in Forsythe’s In the Middle Somewhat Elevated.

 

Crystal has found her love of ballet extends to teaching and has found great joy in sharing what she has learned throughout her career. Her classes are filled with energy and are aimed at sharing her love of dance with her students. Her classes are designed to help you learn how to travel through space, play with the music and  inspire you to fall in love with ballet all over again.

Crystal is a 645 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCYT). She specializes in Hatha yoga, particularly Vinyasa and Restorative yoga.
